Hello doctor,

My right eyelid has being some sort of 'twinging' and 'vibrating' internally and is it making me very frustrated. It has being going on for weeks and it is very irritating.

May i know is there any way to stop this 'vibrating'? Has anyone experience this before? It has being going on for more than 3 weeks already.

Hi,
May be you mean your eyelid has been twitching. Eyelid twitching is very commonly seen. There are several causes for this. To find a relief to this symptom you will first have to find the cause. Eyelid muscle contractions can be triggered by- Stress, tiredness, lack of sleep, eye strain (by prolonged computer use etc), caffeine, alcohol, nutritional imbalances, dry eyes, allergies etc. Rarely they could be a sign of an underlying neurological disorder but this is unusual. These conditions have to be diagnosed and treated by an Ophthalmologist.
Hope this helps,
