Tiny Lump On Earlobes, Sore And Swollen After Touching. How Long Does It Take To Get Cured?
I noticed a tiny lump in each of my earlobes a few months back. Yesterday I noticed the right one was about the size of an m&m. They were really tiny. Now after I touched it a lot its red and kind of sore and a little swollen. I'm 16 by the way and a female. I've never really had any health problems. The left one is still normal and doesn't hurt at all. I'm really worried. When will it go away? And what are they?
I am Dr Sriram Nathan, an ENT surgeon and I will try to help to you out with your problem.
The lumps you described could be just minor soft tissue swellings which are very common especially in the ear lobe area. You do not have to worry about them.
In all probability they may disappear within a week. You may also take a course of antibiotic like amox-clav in consultation with your doctor in case the swelling are infective in nature.
If they do not get better you must consult an ENT surgeon
