Toddler Has Red Spot Visible In Eyes, Rubs Eyes Often. Spot Is Fading. Need To Be Concerned?
Hi , My son is 6 months old,and recently i noticed that a small red spot visible in his right eye . But , today when we checked , the spot was becoming lighter and it seems to be fading. Is it a matter of conccern? and do i need to visit nearest eye hospital at earliest. He rubs his eys's quite often when he feels sleepy and i don't find that spot is troubling him much. Please advise. Thanks !
Infants sometimes have small patches in eye due to tiny subconjunctival hemorrhage, which may usually occur due to rubbing of eye. They usually fade away and do not require any medication. Your child is most likely top have the same and there is no cause for concern.
