Toe Fracture, Bruising, Pain In Other Toes. History Of Diabetes, Neuropathy In Legs. Health Risks?
Hello. My husband is a type 1 brittle diabetic. I believe he has broken one of his toes, it is almost black with bruising, and the toes on each side of the suspected toe are hurting him as well. He has had diabetes for 36 years, has neuropathy in one of his legs. What would the risks, if any, be if he does Not go to the doctors to have it looked at? My email address is YYYY@YYYY . Thank you!
diabetic since 36 years is a condition to be taken very great care of.
how is his blood glucose control?
is he obese(this may lead to fractures of bones in foot, and still makes them worse if present)
this is a case not to be neglected
you probably need to get an x ray done for the foot
along with few clinical examinations by a doctor
always remember to take foot care through out his life
if neglected this might become messy and go to the extent of losing the toes
i dont mean to hurt you or make you get worried
i am seriously concerned ...so dont take it otherwise
take correct decisions in time
feel free to contact me for further queries
thank you
