Toe Red, Swollen And Hurts. Ignored. Turned Black Blue With Broken Nail. Pulled Nail, Bloody Liquid Oozed. Suggestions?
I have always had painted toenails. ans i went to a dance festival a month and abit ago. was jumping and dancing for 13hours . after my toe hurt and was red and swollen. Diddnt go to docs because i thought it would be ok. it then went black blue and felt odd when i pushed down on it. Ihave just sat down and noticed abit of nail sticking out so i pulled it off. My toenail ozzed clear/bloody liquid and i tried pushing it all out i then noticed the nail is lifting. Help im so scared !!
Hi,the toe was hurt probably due to prolong dancing .It also effected the toe nail on the process due to which there was accumulation of blood under the toe nail and the area got secondarily infected and the nail was separated from the nail bed.Visit a dermatosurgeon who will assess the nail and treat it.A systemic antibiotic will be required to treat the secondary infection.
