Toe Stubbed, Skin Layer Removed, Toenail Chipped, Turning Blue. Applying Antibiotic Ointment. Medical Advise Required?
I recently stubbed my toe, removed a layer of skin and chipped my toenail, a little pain but not bad, maybe 3/10 when using the breaks In my car. There is a little discomfort 24 hours after but my toenail is blueing, do I need to get that checked out? I've been wrapping it in gauze with antibiotic ointment over the broken skin. Seems to be helping.

Hi turning the infected area blue indicates cyanosis.cyanosis indicates decreased blood supply.avoid scrapping the area with a cloth.use of antibiotic thrice daily.and anti inflammatory agent and t bact ointment can cure the condition.thr dressings should be loose to relieve from cyanosis
