Tongue Feeling Heavy And Slow After Delivery. Difficult To Talk Without Slurring Words
Hi, I delivered my baby 1 week ago and ever since has been having a strange feeling in my tongue. It feels heavy and slow and it's hard to talk without slurring some words. I had a very difficult unmediated labor and pushed for 4 hours. My jaw and my neck muscles were really tense for days after, but the tongue feeling doesn't seem to get better.
Thanks for using health care magic. I read your query and I believe that there is drying effect of the oral cavity may be due to hormonal effect. you should be fine soon but mean while you can do sodium bicabonate(baking soda) gargles. mix one tea spoon full in one glass of like warm water and take small sip and do gargles with that. this will help you in getting rid of the dry mouth. and mean while you should consult the gaynaecology doctor for this complaint. If still in doubt, please feel free to see a doctor. Please don’t hesitate to consult and ask for any more queries. With best wishes for a speedy cure Dr Ajay Lavania
