Took Fertigyn Injections During Pregnancy Due To Spotting. Can High HCG Values Be Due To Fertigyn Injections?

Upto 12 weeks of pregnancy I took Fertigyn 5000 injections every week due to issues with spotting. In week 13 my HCG levels are showing high values. Could this be because of the Fertigyn injections? Also how long to the effects of Fertigyn injections last?

It is not possible that the fertigyn is causing the high HCG levels, as the fertigyn levels in the blood does not last much longer than a day or two. If the levels are too high, your doctor may need to look for something else such as twins or a molar pregnancy. However, they are usually high at 13 weeks, so they may just be normal. You should ask your doctor whether your levels are normal.
