Took Anti Inflammatories And Steroids For Pain In Shoulder And Arm. What Does MRI Report Mean?

i had an mri ...still waiting on Doctor to call I finally got a copy of report...it shows disc osteophyte complex formation at. c3-c4, c4-c5, c5-c6, c6-c7. Moderate lateral recess and neural foraminal narrowing lilaterally at c5-c6, mild at c3-c4 with the same narrowing on the right. I have been suffering with arm and shoulder pain since before labor day i have take anti inflammatories and steroids...even had steroid shots in shoulder what is the next treatment for me

I am so sorry to hear about your pain and the troubling findings you have on this MRI. Grossly speaking, the reports shows that the holes through which your nerves exit the spinal cod have been narrowed. As a consequence, your nerves are being compressed which explains the pains you are feeling. This will need to be managed correctly to relief you of these pains. I will suggest that you follow u with your doctor who would most likely send you to see a neurosurgeon for evaluation and possible surgical correction if drugs and physical therapy fail to help.
