Took Antibiotics For Stomach Infection. Red Blotchy Skin In The Ankle. What Is It?
Hi, I had just went to the dr. and he stated to me that I have a severe infection in my stomache he put me on 2 antibiotics, I was out mowing my grass both riding and push mowing when I was done I noticed red blotchy skin right above my ankle when you touch it, it kinda stings could you tell me what this possibly be.. respond to YYYY@YYYY

hi you have not mentioned the name of the antibiotics but developing rash only at the ankle after taking them is unusual. If its a drug reaction it affects the whole body not just ankle. You said you were mowing lawn, it could be an insect bite. Applying an ointment containing little steroid would help. an oral antihistamine like loratadine 10 mg at night would reduce the stinginess.
