Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

Sometimes old blood makes its way out looking like small amounts of tissue. Hopefully in the workup of your abnormal bleeding you had a pregnancy test and an ultrasound performed. Only once these two tests are normal / negative should hormones be used to control your cycles.

I hope that this helps and good luck!

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query,

The tiny particles such as you describe may likely be blood clot (which blackens the longer the blood stays before being discharged). You maybe suffering from breakthrough bleeding due to use of birth control pill. If you did not get screened for possible pregnancy before starting the pill, then it will be best to get a pregnancy test done (so we can be sure that this is not related to pregnancy). If pregnancy is ruled out, then we are left with the possibility that the birth control pill is responsible as it is often the most likely cause of abnormal vaginal bleeding when taking the pills.
If that is the case, then you do not need to worry, simply continue your pills and ones your system adapts, you will be fine.
How ever, if abnormal bleeding persist, causing cramps, then it is best you see a doctor first.

Hope this helps
