I have been taking benedryl 50mg po q4hrs with little relief from itching and red burning chest and face. what else can i do
It looks like an allergic reaction, you can continue to take benedryl for the time being, if it does not settle down, you may need cortisons either as a tblet or in the injection form.
Steriods are the most potent antiallergic medicines, but are not usedas first line becuase of the side effects.
Thanks.
