Took Medication For Typhoid. Light Diet. Acidity After Eating. Is It Normal?
I was diagnosed with typhoid on 13 April 2013 and have since finished my course on 22 April 2013. I have rested and will resume my Office from 9 May 2013. During the illness, I ate mostly soft rice, curd, boiled and lightly tossed potatoes. I have just resumed wheat and other light vegetables but I am getting a lot of acidity with slight stomach ache after eating these. The Doc has prescribed Panntocid DSR to take care of acidity.
Is it normal to have acidity after typhoid and how long does it take to return to normal eating. Many thanks .

Took Medication For Typhoid. Light Diet. Acidity After Eating. Is It Normal?
Hi, Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic. Acidity may be because of gastritis which developed due to infection or use of antibiotics for long duration. It may take 1 to 2 weeks to subside with medication. Continue the medication as advised by your doctor. Take soft diet and avoid spicy food. Hope I have answered your query. Regards.
