Trauma In Kidney Area. Pain Between Rib And Hip Bone. Could It Be Muscle Strain?
I fell of a bike and landed with the handle bar smashing into my left kidney area I have a lot of pain in the area between my rib and hip bone in the soft tissue gap there I have a lot of pain when I sit up and when I lean to the right how ever leaning left is not so painfull so I believe it could be a muscle strain that runs down the left side of the body and stretches when leaning right

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query,
I have read your query in detail. From description , it seems you might developed muscular or ligamentous strain .
To get relief from the pain and for quick healing:
• Anti -inflammatory drugs like Tablet Motrin 1 tablet as and when required
• Avoid strenuous activity & lifting heavy weights.
• Apply diclofenac gel on the affected area. Warm compresses will also help.
If this persist, get it evaluated by physician nearby or proper diagnosis and management.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful
