Treatment For CerebralPalsy.

Hello All, I am too much concerned for my Uncle( Dad's Brother) who is suffering from Cerebral Palsy. This is worsening every day presently he finds it very hard to stand by himself.He is 80% disable now. Can you suggest me any hospital in and around Bangalore that could give some possible treatment for that.

cerebral palsy is the disease of infancy and child hood. it comes from birth and persists. probably your uncle is suffering from cerebral stroke i suppose. in india only  NIMHANS bangalore is the best center.but due large number of people visiting the hospital it would be difficult for them to give the personal care they you wish. consult  neurophysician of the NIMHANS and discuss the teatment option and the same can be continued in the Agadi hospital which is near nnimhans only in the 9th cross of wilson garden. a good rehabilitation center is there in the hospital for neurological disorder patients

Cerebral palsy, though not curable many of the deformities and disabilities can be treated with planned surgeries and vigorous physiotherapy. looking at your uncle age it seems we can improve his function lot by doing surgery.

Some of herbs use for treatment are Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri), Mandukparni (Centella asiatica), Shankhpushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis), Jyotishmati (Celastrus panniculatus), Kushmand (Benincasa hispida), Ustukhudoos (Lavendula stoechas), Yashtimadhuk (Glycerrhiza glabra), Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus), Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), Vacha (Acorus calamus), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Abhrak-Bhasma and Suvarna-Bhasma. Some of these medicines are also useful in preventing or reducing convulsions.
Some of the ayurvedic formulation like Panch-Tikta-Ghruta, Panch-Tikta-Ghrut-Guggulu, Brahmi-Ghruta and Pancha-Gavya-Ghruta.
