Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Treatment For SLAP Tear, Tendonosis, And Frozen Shoulder?
I've a SLAP Tear, a tendenosis and some frozen shoulder. Tear may have happened by aggravating the painful exercise during Gym. I'm 47years old male. MRI scan suggests all of these and the orthopedic doctor is suggesting a surgery (have to wait for 2 weeks due to a trip next week) followed by physiotherapy. Some movements cause lot of pain. I can't wear T-shirt and have difficulty wearing even a shirt.
Is surgery the only way and will it bring things to normal, so I can start my mild sports like Bowling and Table Tennis and gym (more controlled going forward).
All these procedure can be treated with a key hole surgery followed by physiotherapy. This surgery is not very big, i mean no big cut or not many stitches. You will be able to play all these games after 6 months. So my advice to you is that you should go for these surgeries.
