Treatment For Abdominal Pain, Diarrhea, Nausea Aggravated By Stress?
Good day.
Ive been experiencing pain in my upper abdomen just below my sternum for years now and it is sometimes acompanied by diarrhea and nausea, it seems to be agravated by stress and hunger. I have taken ulcer medication prescribed by doctors but it doesnt always work.
Hello You relay that your symptoms are often aggravated by stress. There is a condition called IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) that can be made worse during times of stress. To diagnose IBS other conditions must be excluded (such as infection, colitis and Crohn's diasease) and often occurs with alternating bouts of diarrhea and constipation. The pain in the upper abdomen may be from IBS or may be as you indicate from a stomach ulcer.
Relaxation, yoga, meditation and exercise often helps with symptoms of IBS along with eating a well-balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables.
Best regards
