Treatment For Multiple Follicles In Ovaries And Irregular Spotting?

Hi,

I recently had a pevlic and transvaginal ultrasound performed, not 100% sure what day in my cycle it was. I have been having irregular spotting and was getting it investigated. Results showed Uterus measures 9 x 3.6 x 4.3 cm and appears normal, no evidence of fibroids. Endometrium measures 0.1 cm. Right ovary measures 3.8 x 3.6 x 2.4 cm for a volume of 17.2 cc's. Left ovary measures 2.4 x 3.5 x 2.8 cm for a volume of 12.4 cc's. Bilateral multiple follicles are demonstrated.

No adnexal mass. Tiny sliver of free fluid in the posterior cul-de-sac presumably physiological.

Should I be worried about the multople follicles in both ovaries? Or does it depend on stage in menstrual cycle?

Thank you!
