Treatment For Swollen Tonsil And Teeth Pain

I have severe pain from my wisdom teeth for about 2 months now. All of sudden the other day my throat started hurting and my voice is gone and my tonsils are swollen is this due to the wisdom teeth or something else

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your query severe pain from wisdom tooth site seems to be due to Pericoronitis that is inflammation of the gum flap that is surrounding or covering the wisdom tooth and it can lead to inflammation and pain in the throat and cause tonsillitis..
In case if you have got sore throat along with disturbance in voice it can be due to Laryngitis that is infection and inflammation of the vocal cords and can be due to infection that can be bacterial or viral in nature..
You should consult an Oto laryngologist and get a laryngoscopy done and he can rule out the exact cause of the pain and treat you accordingly..
For infection he can advise you antibiotics like Azithromycin, anti-inflammatory painkiller Advil or aleve, do warm saline gargles and do steam inhalations..
Speak less and do not stress your vocal cords for faster relief..
In case if there is recurring episodes of Pericoronitis also evident in your case consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and either removal of gum flap or extraction of wisdom tooth can be done after taking an x-ray and confirming the exact cause and proper treatment will provide permanent relief..
