Trouble Having Sex Due To Size Of Vagina. How Can It Be Rectified?
My girlfriend and I haven't been able to have intercourse due to the size of her vagina. She said her gynecologist told her awhile back that she would have trouble having sex because of it. She goes back to see her in March, but are their any options or things that can help with our problem?
Hi and welcome to HCM. Some women have a tight vaginal opening being virginal due to normal anatomy. The vagina is very dependent on estrogen. When there is sufficient estrogen stimulation, the vagina is thick, very elastic, non-sensitive and produces natural lubricant. Also, some women have a problem where they automatically tighten up when something is inserted into their vagina. This can cause pain during sex, and it might be what you're experiencing. It just seems odd that a sexually active woman, regardless of body size, would still have a vagina that small. Most women require at least 30 minutes of sensuality—kissing, hugging, and mutual massage for their vaginas to relax enough to allow the penis to slide in comfortably. That's why leisurely, playful, whole-body lovemaking is so important. If a woman experiences pain and/or great difficulty inserting a tampon or accepting an erection, the cause may be vaginismus, unusual clenching of the vaginal muscles. For suspected vaginismus, consult a good gynaecologist. All the best
