Trying To Conceive. Suggested Having Sex On 11, 12, 13 Days Of Period. Will I Know If Conception Happened On 14 Th Day Itself?
Dear doctors, I and my wife have been trying for a baby for last 5 months. i had intercourse during 12th to 16 days of period. Unfortunately nothing worked out. We consulted a doctor and she did follicular study on 9th and 10th days of period and asked us to stay together for 11, 12 and 13th days of period. Asked us to come on 14th day for scanning. Will we be able to know the conception happened on the 14th day it self? Thank you. Regards, Vasanth
The ovum has to be released from the follicle. It usually happened during middle of the cycle. If your wife has regular menstrual cycles, then we can expect her ovum would release around 12- 14 th day of the cycle. If you have adequate quantity of sperms with good quality and if you has your intercourse during that time and if the sperms are able to meet the ovum in a healthy state with full vigor and vitality then it is possible for it to fertilize the ovum. If ovum is not released then also it has to be corrected.
We will be able to know whether the conception had taken place or not only after another 15 days not on 14 th day itself. Good luck to you. Dr S.Murugan
