Tsh Levels Are Normal. On Euthyrox. History Of Hypothyroidism. Am Pregnant. On Antibiotic For UTI. Harmful For Baby?
Hello. I had my laboratory 3 days ago and my tsh level is 14.1 though my ft3 and ft4 is within normal limits. Doctor advised me to take euthyrox 25mcg. Is the dose right for me? By the way i am pregnant about 5-6 weeks. I have a history of hypothyroidism before and i took 50mcg of euthurox. After taking meds for 3 months my tsh level became normal. I stopped taking meds without informing the doctor until i found out that i am pregnant. Just wany to double check if the dose is right for me? I am also taking antibiotic for my mild urine infection, does it harm my baby? Thank u so much.
Dear Ma'm, Regards! your thyroid profile definitely needs intervention. 25 mcg is less what I feel, You must build it up and recheck your FT4 & TSH after 15 days. Pregnancy Targets are TSH between 1-2uIU/ml, FT4 around 1.4 ng/dl. You must inform your treating doctor that you were hypothyroid and were on 50 mcg before conception. Regards!
