Twin Babies Having Diarrhea. No Relief With Walamycin, Bifilac. Medication To Stop Diarrhea?
Hi, I have twins babies (boy & girl). They are abt to complete 3 months in another 10 days. Recently they are showing a problem of diarraheo. They used to pass stool once every day. But recently they are dping it multiple times with some amount of water each time. They are doing it abt 5 times a day. There doctors had started walamycin and bifilac. Walamycom course had been completed and bifilac course is yet remaining. Still they pass stool 4 times a day. Kindly suggest.

hi.. your 3 months babies are treated for diarrhea with antibiotics and probiotics.. passing 4 times stools at this age is normal, since they will have gastrocolic reflux, which makes babies to pass stools every time they are fed.. you can ignore this, unless the children are having fever, foul smelling stools, continuous crying and reduced urine output.. continue to exclusively breast feed, till the babies completes 6 months... see the paediatrician if required.. bye
