Hi,

Thank you for your query.

It is not unusual for children to have frequent infections at this age as they develop their immunity. However there is no need to start an antibiotic at the drop of the hat as most of the infections are viral in origin. I am afraid that there is no specific medicine to prevent this occurrence except to give a proper and healthy diet so that they can develop their immunity. You may like to read my blog on this topic at http://vardaan.net/blog/?p=226.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your sons all the best.
