Twins Weighing 1 Kg And 882 Gms Born In 29th Week Of Pregnancy. Possible Time To Come Out Of NICU, Ventilation And Stabilize?

Sir my twins born on almost 29 weeks pregnangy,weighing 1kg & 882gm respectively.they are in NICU & in ventilation.how long time it'll take approx to be in stable condition??They are admitted at Bhagirathi Neotia Woman & Child Care Hospital,Kolkata/India under Dr Saugata Acharya.Is there any alternative Hospital/nursing home in kolkata for the said patients??can we shift patient while in NICU ventilation??Plz suggest Sir.

Welcome to HCM and thank you for your query.As both babies are extremely premature and are on ventilator,they need Surfactantant and continuation of ventilator till they get spontaneous respirations.Atleast minimum 4-6 weeks stay may be needed for both as they are vulnerable for so many problems.Shifting of the patient while in NICU and on ventilator is not advisable unless there are some other inadequacies or deficiencies.
