Ulcer With Mild Pain. Applying Gentian Violet, Lateral Edges Healing, But Medial Edge Raised. Biting Tongue Habit. Advice?

I am a surgeon .I had history of biting my tongue since one month. After that I got an ulcer with mild pain. The ulcer was 5 ml in diameter not indurated . After application of gentian violet , the lateral edge showed signs of healing while the medial edge is raised, oedematous and undermined but still soft and not indurated . WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE. THANKS.

Hi,
I have gone through your query.
It suggests that you are suffering from the traumatic ulcer.

Best to avoid further biting and consult the ENT / Dentist for better diagnosis and management.

If you have any doubt, I will be available for your query.

Wish you good health
