Ultrasound Shows High Uterine Endometrial Lining. Hard Abdomen. Scheduled For D&C
I went for a pap and my doctor had me get a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound. Then I was told my uterine endometrial lining was high for someone who was post menapausal. I stopped having periods about a year ago completely and was sporadic with them for a few years before then. My lining number was 6 millimeters. I was told I needed an edometrial biopsy. I went to my doctors office on Monday and she was unable to get the biopsy because she and another doctor both tried to get to my cervix but couldn't somehow. No I am scheduled for a d & c next Thursday. Also told my abdomen felt very hard. I guess I am just very frustrated! She says probably not cancer or very early staged.
It is too early to jump to conclusions, but out of the list of possibilities cancer does exist, but one of the last ones. Other possibilities include endometrial hyperplasia, post-menopausal effect, endometritis, etc.
Please be patient and do not worry. You could also write back to me if you wish to get more clarity on the result/report. Wishing you good health and nothing less.
Best wishes.
