Ultrasound Shows Poorly Decidualized Intrauterine Gestational Sac. First Pregnancy. What Does The Report Mean?
Hi Dr., good evening. Regarding my ultrasound done today findings are these: poorly decidualized intrauterine gestational sac of about 6 weeks AOG. (+) yolk sac and amnion but with no viable embryo seen.
Sonological findings compatible with anembryonic ----(blighted) pregnancy: 6 3/7 weeks AOG by MSD. (+) amnion yolk sac (5.0mm), no viable embryo identified (+) subchorionic hemorrhage = 2.0 x .86 x 0.61 cm Fundal Retroverted uterus Normal ovaries with corpus Luteum on the right.
Hope you can help me here. this is my first pregnancy and I am already 38 years old.
Dear user, welcome to healthcare magic. As long as you have no bleeding and no sharp abdominal pains, I suggest you repeat this scan after one week to be sure of the diagnosis. If the diagnosis is confirmed, you have the medical and surgical options to terminate this pregnancy, I prefer the surgical one. It is very important to check your blood group and RH, and receive anti-D if you are negative while your husband is positive. You do not have to worry about this because it can happen to any one. It has no definitive cause and no pattern of repetition. Wishing you better luck next time. Dr. Ahmed Bahaa.
