Ultrasound Shows Single Alive Intrauterine Pregnancy. Doctor Said The Head Is Not Fixed Yet. Advice?
hi. my Ultrasound report says that there is a single alive intrauterine pregnancy, longitudinally poised, cephalic presentation, occiput to left posteriorly. placenta is fundal, posterior and upper. liquor amnii is 10.5cm good fetal movement and cardiac activity 148beats/min BPD: 89.9mm F.L: 71.3mm AC: 307mm EFBW: 2709gm my doc says that head is not fixed yet.. n i may have to go for c-section ... or i may have to face labor pains for long duration.. it would b exhausting .. bla bla bla... i am very much worried about what is going to happen to me.. according to report gestation age is 36 weeks and according to my gynecologist, its more than 37 week:(:( confused

Your ultrasound report is absolutely normal.Head fixes duration later part of pregnancy or sometime during early labour.There is nothing to worry if your gynaecologist plans caeseran section for non engagement of head. There is always a difference in gestational age by ultrasound and by clinical examination.There is nothing to worry.Ther perfect gestational age is calculated from LMP that is last menstrual period.
