hi,
Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune neuromuscular disease leading to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatigue. Muscle weakness is caused by circulating antibodies that block acetylcholine receptors.

you should not worry about the fact she does not keep her eyes open. In most of the patients that are presented in neurological clinics weakness of the muscle eyes is one of the most frequent.
The most serious problem about miastenia gravis is that also respiratory muscles may be affected taking the patient to difficulties to breath.
About this problem that is a real serious one you have to check her up amd contact a doctor if you see her respiration is effected.

about recovering her eyes shut you can try acetylcholinesterase inhibitors or immunosuppressants, and, in selected cases, thymectomy.
