Underwent Hysterectomy By Vertical Incision.Started Light, Watery, Pink Discharge. Could I Be Bleeding Internally? Normal?

I had a hysterectomy eight days ago, vertical incision, and have felt fine after the first 3-4 days. I'm terrified of internal bleeding, though, and whether I'll know if I am or not. One nurse told me I would have severe pain if I were. Is this true, or could I be bleeding and not know it? I started some external bleeding today, but its very light and somewhat watery or pink, so I've been led to believe that's normal.

Hi thanks for your question.
Internal bleeding after 8 days of operation is very rare.The symptoma of internal bleeding are;Pain abdomen,abdominal distension,fall in blood pressure,increase in heart rate ,sweating and restlessness.Most probably you are having infection of incision which produces watery pink discharge.Consult your operating surgeon who may be able to tell you what is the cause of this discharge.
