Urethral Pain After Childbirth, Bruised Feeling In Vulva. Done Episiotomy. Have Piles. Urine Infection?

Hi, I had a baby 16 days ago, it was an instrumental vaginal birth. I had an episiotomy and therefore stiches. I also have been left with quite a few external thrombosed piles. Although after this many days my piles have shrunk quite a bit and stiches are healing slowly. I have this bad pressure burning type pain in and around the urethra/clitoris area. the pain is really bad and when I am lying down and begin to get up the pain in this area is so sharp and there is a pressure, it feels like the area is going to explode that I have to roll on my side and until the pain subsides slowly and then get up. I have a constant ache bruised feeling in my entire vulva with the additional pain in the urethra/clit area. do you think I could have a urine infection? thanks

Hello and welcome to HCM,
It is unusual for the episiotomy wound to cause pain and pressure after 16 days of suturing.
An instrumental delivery can lead to infection of the wound.
Slow healing of the wound, experiencing pressure, burning type of pain, and an exploding feeling are suggestive of wound infection and probably accumulation of pus or infected material inside the wound.
You need to consult your gynecologist for examination of the wound site.
Opening of the sutures may be required to look for any accumulation of infected material.
Urinary tract infection can co-exist or can be the cause of wound infection.
Urine examination and microscopic examination can be done to rule out the urinary tract infection.

Thanks and take care
