Urti, Flu, Painful In Windpipe Area, Swollen, Vomiting Sensation. What Is It?
Hello I have been sick with the flu for about a week with a urti. I went to the Dr three days ago informed my symptoms and he said I had the flu. Now that my fever has pretty much broken I am having a lot If provlems with My windpipe. The area between the collar bones where the chest and throat meet has really been hurting. Hurts to breath, swallow, feels swollen and when I lay in my back after I exhale I get a crackling wheezing thing going on. I cough so hard at time I vomit. All my mucus is clear. Could this be something more serious than the flu. Thank you for you help

Hi thanks for using HCM.
Flu usually if not taken care can give rise to bacterial infection. Now the symptoms like feeling swollen throat, crackling sound and mucous expectoration may be due to infection (Pharyngites). Take plenty of water (warm water is better), do salt water gargle three times a day before having food. Get examined with your doctor, if any throat infection then take Tab. Azithromycin 500 mg once daily for 3 days and Tab Paracetamol 650 mg three times a day for two days and can continue if necessary. If you develop breathlessness, more sputum and fever, show to your doctor and to rule out any LRTI. Hope I answered your question.
Whsh you good health. Regards Dr.Lohit
