Use Of Fertigyn Injection? Prescribed During Pregnancy

Hi sir/madam,

This i rajasekhar,
I wan to know the use of Fertigyn 2000 ui injection.

As doctor prescribed my wife to take this injection from the 2nd month itself on weekly bases.
Now she has entered in 5th month, so still is my question is how long did she need to take this injection.

Fertigyn is HCG, a pregnancy hormone that helps to sustain pregnancy naturally. When it is prescribed in cases of suspected corpus luteum deficiency or during assisted reproduction through IVF etc., it is usually given until the 14th -16th week, when the placenta takes over the function of sustaining the pregnancy.
