Used Onabet B Cream For Itching, Spread To Upper Body And Hands. Suggest Remedy

Sir I have been suffering from itching nearly 2 months now. My friend had a similar problem and I started using medicines prescribed to him. I felt relieving soon and I discontinued the medication after a few days. I had been using onabet b cream. But later it spread over my upper body and hands.. It fest appeared under belly and back. At first I felt it like a problem of the hot weather. Please suggest me a remedy soon..

Hi jithinkk,
Thanks for writing in.
There is nothing to be worried about.
You can have tinea corporis, seborrheic dermatitis, intertrigo etc.
Onabet b cream is useful for many conditions.
You can use medicated soap like Candid soap.
Also you can take tablet Zyrtec for itching.

These will help a lot.

Please do not self medicate. You may damage your skin permanently by using creams like this.Long term use like 2 months can be dangerous.

I encourage you to visit a qualified dermatologist for proper diagnosis ant treatment.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

Don't never ever self medicate.

Itching skin is an inflammatory reaction of the skin. Itching is a symptom of a wide variety of mild to serious diseases, disorders and conditions. Itching is also called pruritus.

These anti-itch medicines are also known as antipruritic drugs or antipruritics or anti-itch drug hydroxyzine and come in tablets and injectable forms.

Medications :-
Corticosteroid creams.
Oral antihistamines.
Treating the underlying disease.
Light therapy (phototherapy) .

Anti-itch creams and lotions: Look for over-the-counter (OTC) remedies with these ingredients:

Camphor
Menthol
Phenol
Pramoxine
Diphenhydramine
Benzocaine

Anti itch drugs should not be taken for more than 4 months.Itching can be prevented only to the extent that the underlying cause(s) of the itching can be prevented.
