Used A Tampon On Floor To Wipe Ass, Irritated Now. Chances Of Contracting HIV ?

Last night, I had to go to the restroom in a porta potty in a parking lot for a concert. There was no toilet paper so I made a dumb decision since I was desperate and used a used tampon on the floor of the porta potty. The tampon was wrapped and I only did one wipe. My ass was a little irritated at the time from going to the bathroom a bunch of times throughout the day. What are my chances of contracting HIV from doing this?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The chances would be very slim if you did not have contact with the blood on the tampon and you did not have any open lesions on the area where you wiped. There are other conditions that are blood borne such as hepatitis B.

Though the likelihood of infection is small you may want to consider screening for HIV and hepatitis when you have the chance.

I hope this helps
