Vaginal Bleeding, Bloating In Lower Abdomen. Blood Dark Brown In Color. Cyst On Ovaries In Past.
I have had virginal bleeding for nine days. Not like normal period. Its light enough that i don't need to use anything. Tiny bit of clotting. Bloating in my lower abdomen. Feels heavy in that area also. No real cramping. And bled dark brown blood for 4 days and after that it was a mixture of bright blood and brown. I have had cyst on my ovaries in the past. Not on birth control. age 20. What could it be? Please help. Thank you
I am so sorry to hear about this. There are many different possible causes of these symptoms including infection, dysfunctional uterine bleeding , abnormal uterine bleeding etc. It would be best for you to get consulted by an OBGYN who would probe in greater details about your menses and sexual history examine you fully and maybe do a feel test to pinpoint the problem. depending on the conclusions, a treatment plan would be proposed to you. At times it only requires monitoring and at time it may require a more active intervention. In any case, it is not life threatening and wouldn't be a serious issue to tackle.
I hope this helps and I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask more questions if need be. Dr. Ditah, MD
