Vaginal Infection, Prescribed AF150, Alerid, Lactacyd Wash, Candid B Cream. How Long Does It Take To Cure?
I am having vaginal yeast infection as mentioned by my doctor, she gave me AF150 one tablet, and have prescribed alerid (1 tablet everyday for 7 days in the night) , lactacyd wash to be used twice daily and usage of candid B cream. I see that in the morning, I do have a irritation while peeing first thing in the morning and the entire area around my vagina is wet and slippery to touch. the moment I clean it in the morning I am relieved of irritation for next few hours atleast. My irritation is certainly less than what it was there on the first day when I went to the doctor but its not completely gone yet. Today is the 3rd day of treatment. How long does it take to be cured of yeast infection? and inspite of doing all the things prescribed correctly , is it normal to still feel that irritation in the morning?
Hi, Thanks for writing in. So far you have received correct medication. You should continue the same for prescribed period. Improvement is gradual and may take 1-2 weeks. Repeat dosage of oral antifungals can be required. Drink lot of water and take lemon juice daily to reduce irritation symptoms. Hope this helps.
