Vaginal Suppository Given For Yeast Infection. White Thick Discharge. Is It Normal?

I started birth control 3 weeks ago...I have been pretty good about taking it everyday but have been taking it somedays at different times. A week ago I went to the doctors and found out I had a yeast infection and was given a 3 day depository supplement to treat it, I am suppose to start my menstrual cycle soon and ever since this depository I have noticed a thicker cloudy white/bloody discharge. Is this normal after taking the depositories? Did birth control cause me to have a yeast infection possibly? Should I stop birth control until things get back to normal?

Hi, This thick white cloudy discharge is very normal after such type of depositories.

The role of oral contraceptives in causation of yeast infection is controversial so for your problem there is no need of stopping the birth control.
