Varicose Veins On Lower Back, Mildly Overweight. Cause Of Worry?
My 10 yr old son has spider or vericose veins in the middle of his lower back right above his pant line. He is a little overweight 125 lbs 4 9 with a bigger bone build or frame. He is not excessively fat for his weight but could lose maybe at the most 15lbs and would be normal for his build. I was wondering what could cause this? Is this something I need to worry about? How can I treat it?
Varicose veins are usually seen the legs. What you are describing can be Mongolian spots which is usually present in infants and they disappear as an infant grows. If the spot is increasing in size then you should consult your doctor who shall examine it and give your the right guidance.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
