My liver biopsies are consistent with autoimmune cholangiopathy/biliary cirrhosis. I am supposed to take actigall for its treatment. Is this the best treatment for it ? What is the prognosis and life expectancy ? Is it a form of autoimmune hepatitis or it could turn into one? Before the liver biopsy, the ultra sound, MRI, ct scan all showed no toumers or cancer. My liver enzymes, especially ggt, alp. ast. alp, have been up and down for about 4 years, but recently they have stayed higher than the maximum normal range. The GGT is up 4 times that of the max normal range. Thank you very much for your suggestions and opinion. Aman Kemaninej
