Was Punched On Face. Left Jaw Swollen. Cut Inside Mouth. On Antibiotics And Ibuprofen. Guidance?

I was recently punched in the face 2 days ago, the left side of my Jaw has been swollen since, the inside of my mouth received a big cut, and there seems to be something like puss in the wound, I'm 17 and my pediatrician said it would heal normally back over time, he gave me antibiotics in case of infection and Ibuprofen for pain. should I worry?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The swelling in the jaw is likely to be due to a soft tissue injury in the area after the impact. This swelling will gradually subside with proper treatment. Continue with medicines and do a hot fomentation thrice daily for relief.
