Was Under The Sun, Felt Weak. Has Diabetes. Weakness Is Persisting. Heat Stroke?

I am asking this for my almost 80 yr old father-in -law. On Monday afternoon he was in the heat all day & did some sawing of a tree, very little but very hot! He got really weak & has been ever since. He has diabetes type 2 out of control at least 250 - 400 on a regular basis. But the weakness is persisting. Could he of had a heat stroke or what?

Hello,
It is not heat stroke as heat stroke is a very dangerous complication where th body temperature rises above 104 f and if untreated can become fatal.
It looks more like a heat exhaustion where due to heat he is sufering from dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.Elderly and diabetics are more prone for it.
An uncontrolled diabetes is making th problem worse.
Control his blood sugar levels and take care of his hydration and electrolyte imbalance.
Thanks
