Watery Diarrhea After Eating Oysters. Possible Virus?
Hi,I have diaherra since monday, now it is very watery and I am afraid to eat or drink anything. we had some oysters on Sunday night and both my spouse and I have the same thing. What can I do or or drink, I will be seeing my G. P. tomorrow. It could be the oysters or a virus going around???? my e-mail is YYYY@YYYY

It is a case of food poisoning. Firstly u shd start having ors ( every 2 hourly).then u should start on antibiotics orni-o(contains ornidazole and ofloxacin) twice in a day for 3 days.the side effect of this tablet is metallic taste in the mouth which always happen. Please have this tablet with a probiotic namely vibact twice a day.u should feel ok.but if your diarrohea worsens u should go to the hospital so that they can start u on iv antibiotics.

I would advise my patients to drink plenty of water and ORS solutions to compensate dehydration and electrolyte loss.
