Weight Loss, Feeling Full After Eating Light Meal. Working In Night Shifts. Normal?

I have been working night shift (6 pm - 6 am) for approximately 6 weeks. During this time, I have experienced some weight loss (5-7 lbs) and I tend to feel fuller faster when eating (sometimes with increased burping). I eat 3 meals per day, but I suspect that my meals are smaller than when I was working day shift. I am also exercising vigorously (30 minutes running or eliptical, 4 days per week). Does this seem normal or may this be a symptom of something requiring consultation with a physician? I have no other symptoms. I am a healthy 46 year old male, 6 ft, 200 lbs.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your problem description. I suggest you not to worry too much. Working night shift do takes its toll. It is like jet lag. Body takes some time to adjust with the new schedule. Body takes some to time to adjust the body clock.

Therefore, instead of worrying, continue to do whatever you were doing and be happy. Weight loss during this adjustment period is also normal. You can consult a doctor if you are not coming to the required tempo within two months.

Hope this clears your doubts. Available for further clarifications.
Good luck.
