Weird Periods, Under Lot Of Stress, Tired, Extremely Emotional, No Cramps Yet. Could I Be Pregnant ?

I have had three weird periods the past 3 months. I am due to start today for another one. I have been under a lot of stress the past 3 days. I have been crying a lot and throwing up when I am crying. I am really tired, constantly. I am extremely emotional, I normally get period symptons everymonth like cramps, I have not had any yet. Could I be pregnant? Could I just be pmsing?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello......
Thanks for your query. The symptoms you describe are classical of PMS/ premenstrual syndrome. I would suggest that you meet a psychiatrist for evaluation of the symptoms. The differential diagnosis include depressive and anxiety disorders. The treatment consists of antidepressants like venlafaxine and psychotherapy techniques like CBT/ Cognitive behavioural therapy. It does not appear pregnancy related. An urine pregnancy test can clarify the same. Wish you good health.
