Hello,
If taken together Ablify may interact with the following medications:
1. With
Klonopin and Tizanidine
Ablify may increase side effects such as
dizziness,
drowsiness, confusion, concentrating, impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination which may result in falls and injuries.
2. With
Lisinopril and Furosemide:
Ablify may have additive effects in lowering her blood pressure. She may experience headache, dizziness,
lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or
heart rate. She should avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving, swimming and use caution when getting up from a sitting or lying position.
3. With Fluoxetine:
Fluoxetine may increase the blood levels and effects of Ablify. This can make her more likely to develop side effects such as drowsiness, seizure, Parkinson-like symptoms, abnormal muscle movements, and low blood pressure.
In view of the above she may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use these medications.
You should consult her doctor if she experiences agitation, aggression, confusion, convulsions, muscle spasm, or movements or as lip smacking, chewing, puckering, frowning or scowling, tongue thrusting, teeth clenching, jaw twitching, blinking, eye rolling, shaking or jerking of arms and legs, tremor,
restlessness, pacing, and foot tapping.
She should also be alert to symptoms of low blood pressure such as dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or increased pulse or heart rate.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
