What Are Different Ways To Wean Off My One Year Old Baby From Breastfeeding?

Hi my name is XXXX, I m currently breastfeeding my 1 year old and I m trying to wean her off cause I m not eating enough and my weight is dropping too much, someone told me about Apetamin and I was wondering is it safe to take while I m breastfeeding her?

Hi,

It is ideal to breastfeed up to 2 years since the brain requires some essential substance (taurine, cysteine etc.) which are not present in the formula.

Regarding (apetamin) cyproheptadine, it will cause drowsiness in the baby. It is not recommended while breastfeeding.
