What Are Effects Of Taking Junel And Levothyroxine Together?

Hi, I m currently taking Junel fe 1/20 and Levothyroxine 50mcg. I read online that there is a moderate interaction and that it means the levothyroxine dosage may need to be adjusted higher. But I am worried about the effectiveness of the Junel while I m taking Levothyroxine. Is it safe to continue on Junel as a birth control method in this case? My second question is, how effective is Junel? I know that birth control pills have a range of being effective. How effective is it comparing to Gianvi (what I used to take before)? Thank you

Junel Fe is a hormonal contraceptive. Both of levothyroxine and such birth control pills are taken by patients frequently and often together. They do not interact and no dose adjustment is generally required for either of them. You may rest assured that the birth control intervention would not be hampered.
Junel Fe is an effective low dose hormonal contraceptive and you can trust its action if taken on regular basis. Gianvi is also a hormonal contraceptive with similar composition but I would consider Junel to be a better drug. The effects of both the drugs are comparable and there is no major problem if any of them are taken except for the side effect of weight gain.
