What Are Ideal BP And Heart Rate For Elderly After Heart Attack?
Am 93 had normal readings for BP cholesterol and glucose ..heart attack eight weeks ago .. Clot in small branch artery at bottom of heart .. Now on Lipitor ..coreg ..81 mg aspirin and Brilinta blood thinner .. Ejection heart rate is now 52 ..WHAT is the ideal BP and heart rate for me now ??
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows: 1. Ideal BP would be in the range of 110-130 systolic and 60-90 diastolic. 2. Heart rate should be in the range of 60-100. 3. Day to day and intraday variations are normal in blood pressure and heart rate. However, it should within the range. Use the medications regularly. Welcome to hcm, The ideal heart rate in an adult on rest must be between 60 to 100beats per minute the ideal blood pressure readings systolic or upper reading must be between 140 to 100 and the diastolic or lower reading must be between 60 to 90 for patients after heart attack there will be arrhythmia and heart failure which will be the reason behind variable heart rates and blood pressue Hope this explains With regards Dr.Amarnath
